Community Bios :

Shakori Fletcher, the Founder and CEO of Plant, Build and Restore, Inc., sees herself as a thinker and doer. As a thinker - she’s constantly connecting dots, evaluating problems and solutions, and identifying the underlying thread that connects us all. As a doer - she’s intentional with the small details and deadlines, knowing that dotting the i’s and crossing the t’s is what distinguishes good from great. With a background in film with internships and full-time roles at companies such as NBCUniversal, HBO, Lionsgate Entertainment, Shakori understands the power of storytelling to unite, bridge understanding, and inspire change. Leveraging her strategic insights from her career in Los Angeles, Shakori has relocated to Tulsa, Oklahoma in order to use storytelling, impact and empowerment to drive progress forward and contribute to real-time community development work. In her current role in production at Voksee and communications at the Lobeck Taylor Family Foundation, Shakori leverages storytelling and strategic insights to deliver real-time lasting impact on the elevation of the national and global imprint of Tulsa’s creative and entrepreneurial communities. 

Personally, the Atlanta native is passionate about diversity and inclusion, economic empowerment and community development. She believes that storytelling and intentional conversations have the power to unite across backgrounds and ignite mutual understanding. Experience as the Marketing Chair of Lionsgate’s first Multicultural Employee Resource Group, and as a board member of the Young Professional’s Council for the LA-based education equity nonprofit LA Promise has empowered Shakori to continue to seek tangible ways to make a difference. Shakori's latest endeavor, the incorporation of the nonprofit Plant, Build and Restore Inc., marks a strategic, innovative and ground-breaking approach of connecting community, experiential events, impact, activism and storytelling to create meaningful and lasting change.
