Minister Joyce Anusiem aka “Mama Joyce” called by many,   is a licensed registered nurse and has been in the healthcare industry for over 30 years. She obtained her Bachelors of Science Degree in Biology (Premed) from Clark Atlanta University and an Associate Degree in Nursing, from Clayton State University GA.  After which she obtained her Professional Registered Nursing Certification (RN).  She also earned her Master’s in Healthcare Administration from Ashford University. As a Board-Certified Case Manager (CCM), she utilizes her healthcare expertise to educating and coaching her patients on disease and Holistic health management.

Minister Joyce Anusiem is also an ordained Minister at Overcomes Christian Fellowship (OCF) and an active member at OCF with her family for over 10years. She is the Chairperson for OCF Health Ministry where she continues to bring health awareness and empowerment to advance the health and wellness of OCF members and the community at large, promoting healthy living and wholeness in the body of Christ. She serve in many ministry areas whenever she is called upon,  in the Pastoral care team, Facilitator for Life Enrichment Group, Committee member for the Unstoppable Women and part of the Ministerial leadership and Dream Team.

Minister Joyce Anusiem is married to her husband Anthony Anusiem for over 40yrs with five wonderful children and seven grandbabies to the glory of God.

Minister Joyce Anusiem is the founder of Fresh Eats Bistro and True Living Holistic Health and Wellness, where she continues to promote preventive health awareness and healthy eating.  Mama Joyce is using every opportunity to promote not only healthy living but family matters mentoring. She is also one of the founding members and Ex- Vice President for The Nigerian Women Association of GA.

"The Power in Parenting" is my recently finished work.  This is a book inspired by the Holy Spirit which was written to incorporate the many life experiences and challenges I encountered while raising my five children, grandchildren and others I nurtured along the way. This book was also written to include the biblical principles I adopted for empowerment and encouragement. My research provided citations from authors and experts as well. You will notice that each sections and chapters are introduced with a home improvement metaphorical illustration to help paint a clearer picture.

To learn how to parent well, it is important to first define a parent’s purpose and responsibilities. Why are parents needed? Why did God create the parent as a part of the family structure? There are many questions, different perspectives and an array of answers. From my experience, parents are needed to offer a sense of belonging, establish a family’s identity, provide protection, guidance and nurture a godly environment. These parental influences foster wisdom for generations to come in pursuit of a God-given destiny. God uniquely gave each parent the right amount of grace, knowledge and power to develop each child, based on that child’s distinct talent and purpose. Therefore, the goal of parenting is to use our God-given knowledge to build a family legacy that outlasts each generation.

It took great power, ability, strength and knowledge for God to create the universe and all it contains. It also takes nurturing, along with great wisdom, to maintain God’s creation. Considering this, it makes sense to understand we have inherited God’s power to successfully raise other human beings. Believe it or not, parenting is a duty God gave us when He created humanity. Endowing us with this responsibility provided a vehicle to perform His creative miracles on earth! If God did this, it must mean God pre-wired us with special abilities and gifts to carry out the parental task. This, of course, comes with unique challenges. As a parent you’re probably thinking, “I wish there were a scriptural manual exclusively about parenting!” You are not alone.

This book is truly packed with rich insight from one who allowed God to guide her process and give her the knowledge to share with others like you. In this book you will learn how to raise children using the Word of God, but also through practical wisdom crafted from 40 years of parenting experience. You will understand how children are wired and what words and actions help to activate them in a positive way. The end result is for your child (ren) to grow up to be successful, God-fearing, humble, and loving men and women who will go on to raise healthy families of their own.  I hope the nuggets in this book will help to transform parents all over the world and allow them to experience the same success I have achieved in raising my.
